    GJB599A Circular Connector Specification & Interchange with MIL-DTL-38999

    Circular connectors built to GJB599A standard are widely adopted in rugged industrial and airborne projects. Many buyers notice that the GJB599A series shares nearly identical construction and performance rules with MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. The only difference lies in the main series code: JY for GJB599A and MS for MIL-DTL-38999K, and these two series can be interchanged in most application scenarios.
    This family of connectors comes with clear model coding rules, every letter and digit carries specific meaning. The code defines product type, shell style, shell size, plating, contact layout and contact termination types. Users can pick solder contacts, PCB pin or socket versions according to their assembly needs. Key position variants like normal and anti-decoupling key options are also available for anti-misplug requirements.
    Great electrical and environmental performance makes these connectors fit harsh working environments. It delivers at least 45dB attenuation from 100MHz to 1GHz for EMI shielding. Under normal conditions, insulation resistance exceeds 5000MΩ, and it stays above 100MΩ even in humid surroundings. Shell bonding resistance is controlled tightly within specified limits for different grades.
    For environmental tolerance, B type works from -65℃ to +175℃, while E and F types cover -65℃ up to +200℃. It can withstand salt spray tests for 500h,1000h or 48h based on grades. The connector works reliably at altitude up to 30480 meters and handles 98% relative humidity at 40℃.
    Custom tweaks are also supported. If high oil resistance is required, fluorosilicone sealing material can be used, marked by adding C1 at the end of part number. All these features help system designers select proper circular connectors for aerospace, transportation and heavy-duty equipment projects.
