Technical Upgrade of D38999 Series Circular Connectors for High‑reliability Interconnection
Recently, D38999 circular connectors have witnessed technical upgrades for high‑end equipment interconnection solutions. The series complies with mainstream industry specifications including MIL‑DTL‑38999, widely applied in airborne electronics and industrial control systems.
D38999 adopts standardized insert arrangement. The “shell size‑insert arrangement” code defines contact quantity, specification, position and spacing to realize integrated transmission of power, signal and hybrid signals. Series III is built‑in with Scoop‑Proof feature. Extended shell sections align before contact engagement, preventing pin and insulator damage caused by angled mating. Series I and II can achieve the same function via customized design.
Compatible with ARINC and other interchange standards, the connectors support panel‑mount and cable‑mount configurations, working with crimp contacts, RF coaxial and fiber optic termini for harsh conditions of high vibration, wide temperature range and corrosion.
Growing demand for standard‑compliant alternative connectors pushes manufacturers to optimize shell craftsmanship, shielding performance and environmental resistance. Complete accessories and removal tools are supplied to deliver stable interconnection for avionics and heavy‑duty industrial equipment.
